Last weekend we went on an incredible back country adventure with our friends Tory and Lil. We completed 45 km, 2000 m elevation over 3 days and 2 nights, starting from Vista Lake. We crossed over Gibbon Pass to get to Shadow Lake campground for the night before heading towards Whistling Pass and Egypt Lake campground. Our last day had us climbing over Healy Pass and ending at Sunshine Village. The weather was perfect, although a bit smoky at the start and with some sprinkles along the way. This time of year is breathtaking with all the larches and colours. It was a great way to say farewell to Summer.
I was nervous about going on this adventure, because the last time I went camping this way (in 2015) I was very unprepared… you can see a post about that here. But I am very proud of this accomplishment. I surprised myself and I can’t wait to do it again!
Check out some of the photos and a little video I put together of our trip :)
